The SCOOTER Store Donates Scooters to WWII Veterans to Visit Jamestown Memorial
J.A. Carlascio is one of the many veterans who fought for our freedom during World War II. Originally assigned to Italy, he was wounded and became a prisoner of war for two years. He also comes from a family of veterans: his oldest brother was wounded in Italy and his youngest lost his life in the Pacific. But that is not all that makes him noteworthy; he helped establish a veterans’ memorial in his hometown.

On Wednesday morning The SCOOTER Store, with the help of the ADL Foundation, provided Ahmed with a Jazzy Select power chair at her home in Laurens. Addyman personally made the final delivery. The power chair was donated under The SCOOTER Store's "Gift of Mobility" program, which provides mobility equipment and assistance to those who do not have the resources or insurance to obtain power wheelchairs and scooters.

Dave Pryor, CIA Performance Manager of The SCOOTER Store, earned the Health Ethics Trust (HET) Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) designation, which was presented at the Trust's annual Best Practices Forum on Oct. 26 in Washington, D.C. According to HET, this certification process promotes professionalism and competence throughout the health care compliance community. Pryor worked for the certification through a series of requirements overseen by the Education Committee of the Council of Ethical Organizations.

As the benefit began on Sunday, The SCOOTER Store and the fire department surprised Blakely at the Damascus Shrine Center with a three-wheel Revo electric scooter. On hand from The SCOOTER Store’s Rochester operations were Distribution Center Manager Josh Hernandez, Mobility & Service Specialist Paul Little and Healthcare Relations Consultant Mike Krym to make the presentation. The scooter was donated under The SCOOTER Store’s "Gift of Mobility" program, which provides mobility equipment and assistance to those who do not have the resources or insurance to obtain power wheelchairs and scooters.

But Luis Magana is not a typical ninth grader, and neither are his classmates.
